This contemporary yet industrial design draws inspiration from the tension between the cosmopolitan city and the lush nature that encapsulates it. Each room has a unique personality but shares common threads: Industrial, yet warm. Minimal, yet complex. Natural, yet urban. A major contributor to connecting these elements is the art curation. All sourced locally and original to each space, the art acts as a lightning rod for contrasting elements, creating a connecting element and driving personality.

A stay at The Douglas creates timeless experiences in ephemera moments. From its expensive luxury dining options, rooftop spa + hot tub, rooftop park and stellar location, you’ll be left wishing you could hold onto the moment forever.

The presentation of these juxtaposed elements needed to tell the story of the design while creating the desire to experience it in person. Bujou Studios produced a blend of lifestyle editorial and architectural detail photography to show the allure of these lavish spaces.

Uncommon, visionary + independent, the Douglas Autograph Collection hotel is an urban retreat in the upscale community of Yaletown (Vancouver, British Columbia). Driven by design, the hotel features intense attention to detail sparking dialogue between homaging the past, creating luxurious experiences and cultivating comforts. Bujou Studios worked closely with the hotel to ensure this dialogue could be seen in every detail – from the styling of spaces and design driven concepts, to the creative direction of lifestyle photography, wardrobing + styling – every moment is a story you're dying to hear.
